Why is everyone so in love with the SD card? I mean I like having it, and U use it because my phone has it, but there are so many just as convenient alternatives out there.

They still use it on tablets which is nice. I prefer faster internal storage on phones though. The speed difference between internal and external is too great. On tablet i just use the extra storage to hold audio books and whatnot.

And one can hold audio books, photos and other data on USB drives. They are portable and attachable when needed. They even make mini flash drives that do not protrude much that can be kept attached. I have a keychain flash drive that looks like a piece of jewelry, so it can even be worn as a necklace. Not to mention cloud services. The SD cards will not be coming back to phones. For the time being, they are still on tablets, but I think they will be moving away from that as well.
