I keep getting annoying spam calls from certain numbers which are same in the first 6 digits, but changes last 4 digits and keep calling. I am fed up blocking each number. Blocking numbers by prefix pattern is a trivial thing supported by all mobile phones. Is there any such option to block number pattern by prefix on the S24? If not, why not?

A 3rd party call filtering app would likely be able to accomplish this. Your carrier may also have some helpful suggestions.

Why do I need a 3d party app? My carrier (T-Mobile) has an option, but it doesn't allow filtering by prefix or a range of numbers.

What 3d party app do you recommend? Is it free?

Please note: this question gets asked online a lot. A lot of people want this function. If a 3d party app can provide it, why won't Samsung just offer it themselves?

If your on AT&T they Active Armor Mobile Security app that has a block number feature and it's works for me just fine and I don't have to block any numbers now, I just wish they could work on the spamming..

There are two level of blocking. Blocking on your phone which simply dumps the call into voicemail, which is really not a block but a reroute after your phone will attempt to ring through.

Network level blocking which prevents the call from going through the network, which is better.

As mentioned att has active armor included with a plan and the thing works. If a number is not in your contacts then it will or can go to voicemail on network level.

I know Verizon has one n T-Mobile does too. IDK what they are called.

I used something years ago called robo killer, and I thought it did neighborhood blocking, but it costs per month.

T-Mobile may have something and may or may not cost depending on your plan.
