Taking a screenshot with my Samsung S24 Ultra

I cannot take screen shots with my Samsung S24 Ultra. When I press the side button key & the volume down key together it just wants to shut the phone off or open Bixby. But that's what it tells me to do in Google. What am I doing wrong?

Try tapping both buttons at the same time instead of holding them.

Wow! You just answered my question. Thank you for enlightening my ignorance. Yeah, I was holding them before. When I tapped them it worked just fine. Thank you Verbum Veritum.

I wish I could turn off screen shots. Everyone I turn off this cheap device takes screen shots. Too many functions on one key.
