S24 Ultra Front Facing Camera Freeze, lag and crash.

Front facing camera freezes when using it. Only shows a still image and updates every few seconds to a new image. It either freezes completely and crashes or continues with the lag. Unable to look through front facing camera at all because it freezes on what it's looking at for 10 seconds at a time. A factory reset fixes it but once there's an update it breaks again. It's frustrating considering how much the phone costs. I'd love to show it off and promote the phone to friends and family but I feel as if I'm showing people a broken product. It's an awful feeling having something brand new that feels like you bought it used because something isn't working on it.

I've seen several posts on here regarding this issue with no update.

Samsung, please don't let this continue and give some sort of acknowledgement.

Still no update to this issue. I saw another post with the same issue but it's now deleted. Wondering if they found a solution or not. I'm hoping it's not hardware based. Not even sure how to start that conversation. Are there any Samsung reps on here that can respond

having the same issue. All the updates have been installed, rest the data, cache cleared. Still having the same issue. Can't even use the front cam at all 😑

I have the same problem, i do factory reset and the problem is the same...samsung told that on april will be an update camera i hope to resolve it but if they dont i will be too dissapointed from samsung because i bought a very expensive phone 1tb storage and i have problem

I have encountered the same issue, and it seems I have finally came to a solution: uninstalled the Expert RAW camera app extension from Samsung.

same here - I'm from Austria and have exactly the same problem. My camera on my Galaxy S24 Ultra isn't working at all...

It's possible this is a software concern for your device. I have some troubleshooting steps that should help with this matter. Even though you have an Austrian model, the steps should be the same. Let us know if this helps.

Didn't help I tried all methods mentioned none worked I have had it factory reset. Still got the same issue. It has to with front camera only rare camera are working fine. I believe it is a software issue. Please fix it.

I brought the phone from Hong Kong.

I have the same problem also My battery drain as fast as my old phone; even when screen lock use more battery but in battery consumption there is no open app!! I resetvsetting ; i thought its by camera filters but nothing has been changed

Mine also doing it, I have spoken to Samsung who did a factory reset. It worked fine for a bit but now doing it more and more. Only repair option given by Samsung as also having Bluetooth issues.

I'm also having the same problems. Samsung talked me through all the reset/cache clear , safe mode, software update blah blah but have now said I've to file an error report through samsung members app... doesn't bode well. Never had any issues like this with a Samsung phone. This bit of kit is too expensive for stupid stuff like this to wind me up.
