The Secure folder app disappeared

I noticed a strange behavior in secure folder. I had put a bunch of similar apps together in the folder and when trying to move a new app into that folder, the folder disappeared but apps are still installed but they are hidden. I looked for setting to unhide the folder but there is none. Happened twice today so not sure if that is a feature or a bug?

You think that's bad I can't even use secure folder at all
It just says I need more storage but my SD card is very empty with like 100 gigabytes left

not yet, it's a bug in S24 series. Never had this issue with other Samsung's like flip

I have a Galaxy A54, and the same is happening with me. It happened after the last update on One UI.

The only way that "fixed" it was reinstalling the app, but it doesn't solve the issue, because it could happen again (I dragged the icon by accident), and there are apps that I cannot simply uninstall and reinstall without having to make a request to the IT manager, that would prevent me to use it for a time.

It looks like the last update of Secure Folder app on Galaxy Store fixed the issue. Missing folders and apps reappeared.

I have an S21 and it does the same thing. Everytime I turn it off all of my game folders disappear. And any games that I have on the screen disappear. Any suggestions?

Do you have the option to re-download the apps whenever they are gone, or does the phone acknowledge that they are still on your phone? I would recommend clearing the cache for the app. You can do that by following the steps below.

To clear the cache for an app on a Samsung Galaxy S21, you can do the following:
1) Go to the Home screen
2) Swipe up or down from the center of the display to access the Apps screen
3) Go to Settings
4) Tap Apps
5) Tap the Filter and sort icon
6) Select a sorting option, such as Name or Last Used
7) Tap OK
8 ) Select the app you want to clear the cache for
9) Tap Storage
10) Tap Clear cache

Hello all. I just applied the October 2024 updates and patches.. then it happened. I had a folder on my home screen with several apps in it. The folder disappeared. I clicked on it, and nothing happened. I tried to drop an app onto the same area of the homepage. I could see it drop into the abyss and disappeared. Then I went to the installed app list... long pressed the app icon, and the folder magically appeared. I changed the background color just to check the settings. Then, I removed the extra app. Exited back to the home page. This restored the app folder on my home page. Hopefully this helps people fix the issue. Cheers.
