That's crazy as this is Samsung wants to change everything they want to look like an act like Apple casing point The edge panel they want to actually remove it and not have it anymore after all these years so what you have to do is download everything save it and you'll have it on the 7.0 UI which everything's going to change I wonder why Samsung is doing this I wish they wouldn't I think we all should protest or just send out messages saying not to cancel the edge panel anyway we'll see what happens I hope not I hope people will start writing in and saying do not cancel the edge panel

Just keep it there Don't remove it don't do anything until the 7.0 once a 7.0 is installed when you get it that's when it'll be removed but once you keep it there it won't be removed and then if you need any apps you have to go to the app store not the Galaxy store to get some of the apps I don't know why they're doing this this is crazy man screwing everything up

Do you happen to know if they will transfer over to a new device via smart switch, or will they have to be downloaded again (as right now, the edge panels are not showing in the "my apps" section.)?

I have found the edge panels to be quite useful over time and I, too, don't understand why they would get rid of this unique, wanted feature.

So, I would guess that anyone even thinking about any particular edge panels should download them now and eliminate them later if need be. I wonder if they are downloaded but not in use if they will remain. And, since OneUI 7 is not actually out, or in beta yet, Samsung could conceivably rethink that decision.

i have been using it since the day it became an added feature on their phones.it was an advantage against iphones and now they're taking it off.its not cool in my opinion!

They're not removing edge panels, they're just removing support for downloading new ones from the galaxy store. They already removed downloading them from settings. Just download the ones you want to keep and port them forward to new devices via smart switch

At first I thought they were pretty useless additions, but once I started using them regularly and discovering other useful panels, I really like them.

I feel it would be great if I could have a edge panels of the stopwatch and/or timer. Other things like the camera or maybe even a custom app shortcut.

I use a stopwatch and timer very frequently for my job and would really like there to be an edge panels for that. Also I feel like there should be an option to enable or disable certain edge panels to be used even while the phone is locked.

This could be used for things suck as if you loose your phone, they can use the edge panels to call a certain contact to notify you of where it is, or use a stopwatch or timer without having to unlock my phone😉

Also I've looked at the edge panels on the Galaxy store and there are none that I could find that do either a timer or a stopwatch.

I just did my update a couple of days ago but it was just a security update. Before that, i lost the screen shot , pin and screen deviding options from my edge panel. this was the best feature in samsung sistem . can enybody help me ?

@achmena When the 6.1.1 features were applied, the screenshot edge panel features were removed. It was replaced with Smart select

There is a screenshot or task panel you can add to the edge panel. Settings, display, edge panels, panels, and check the tasks panel, it will add to to the edge panel but it will be another panel. I clicked edit and added screenshot but there are other tasks you can add.
