My phone no longer auto rotates. I have checked that auto rotate is on, that portrait is not locked on the home screen, have taken off my phone case and have downloaded the Samsung member app and used support to check the sensors. I have restarted my phone. Removed the latest apps to see if they could be causing an issue. Nothing has helped. Could it possibly be as a result of this latest update? Does anyone have any suggestions.

Are you trying to auto rotate the home screen or does no screen auto rotate anymore? The home screen does not auto rotate unless you specifically set it to. Press and hold the auto rotate icon and turn the slider on for home screen. If you previously had it set to rotate the home screen, the update could have returned it to the default state, which is not to rotate. Did this start immediately after an update? You can try wiping the phone's cache partition.

Thank you for the suggestion...I pressed and held the auto rotate button and made sure all toggles are on. It seems to have started after the update. I will try wiping the phone's cache partition next. Fingers crossed

I tried wiping the phone's cache partition and then restarting...still not auto rotating...not the home screen nor picture. Have started a chat with samsung support now. Thank you again

Unfortunately no. Have spent the whole day...between my own trouble shooting, samsung tech support, ubreakIfix, verizon, assurion, and back to Verizon. Seems to be a faulty motherboard (maybe) going thru manufacturer's warranty to get a new one (phone is only 3 months old).
