Not sure if you fixed this but ran into the same issue. It was a recent update with windows. Now you have to go into your windows computer to allow your phone to be connected. It's called link my phone. You can search it on your computer or here is a link from microsoft. This has resolved my issue. It's now connected via Bluetooth and I you do have to allow window link notifcations on your phone but it walks you through this when getting it set up. So connect to your computer via usb to c-port and then set this up and it's not the exact same but you have access to all information on your phone now, so you can get your files or images.

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/my-samsung-s24-ultra-has-not-connected-to-the/86a4f587-b059-4bd1-a509-3ed0be36a582
