topic Texting with translate after one UI7 update in Galaxy S24

I was playing around yesterday with the translate feature on an open text that I was having with a friend. The text wasn't meant to send, just see how it works. However, today she texted me and I answered her. While waiting for her to text back, I noticed that under both our texts it was translated into Spanish again. She didn't say it was on her end. I deleted and reopened the text to her and it seemed fine, but then it "jumped" back and had the Spanish below all my texts to her. Is there a way to stop this? I am using the google keyboard so I can use the microphone and I really don't like the Samsung keyboard.
