Can't add Google account to secure folder

Can't add a Google account that is already on the device to a secure folder. Can't access Play or installed apps licenses.

I just got my Samsung S24+ and I encountered the same problem while in my old S10+ I never encountered such troubles.

It is abnormal that I should use different accounts for personal and not personal area... I used it to have two whatsapp on the same phone so far and I lost the history of the whatsapp installed in personal area.

Same here... darn!

Galaxy Store works fine though when I try do add an app from Play Store in Secure Folder, I'm prompted to login and it errors out stating "that account already exists on your device".

Same issue here! Moving from an S20+ where it worked perfectly fine, now I can't add the same account on my phone and my secure folder...

Tech support told me to reset the phone and transfert files with Smart Switch without the secure folder, I did (and lost quite a few hours re-setting all... Thanks) but still doesn't work.

Uninstalling and getting a fresh secure folder doesn't help either.

I was finally able to add my Google account...just type your Google name without the @Gmail

Secure Folder Issue

On previous galaxy devices, you could have multiple emails added both on the normal phone function, and also in the secure folder. With s24 lineup, you can no longer have the email added to both, it says "this email already exists on your device." This is extremely inconvenient, as if you need to make any payments with google play, you cannot even have the email in the secure folder without removing it from your device. If id known about this, I wouldn't have purchased the S24 Plus.

Hmm.. I don't see that problem in my S24Ultra. I've the same Google account added in both device and secure folder

My Goodness thanks much. setting mine up, a couple things went hiding but the power of research goes a long way. The manage conversation categories to set my specific app sounds almost started a riot but found the answer to that as well rather quickly after trying to figure it out for a moment, this goes a long way and i will help the next

I can reproduce now. But I did add two Google accounts that exist in the device. What changed recently are
1. I created a work profile, but that doesn't seem to have anything to do with this
2. Enabled Auto sync secure folder data. I doubt this could be the reason, but unfortunately, I still see it after disabling it.
Did you enable this before adding a new account?

Azxcit's solution actually worked for me. I just added the account without the @Gmail.com and it added right away no issues.

Once you're in your secure folder, tap on the 3 dot in the upper right corner, tap settings, and then tap on Manage Accounts. You can add as many different accounts as you want. So, good luck and go have some fun!

I use my own domain so I couldn't use just the username without using the @Gmail.com. IInstead I chose the option saying I didn't know my account and used phone number and name/surnames to log in which added the account and it's all good now.

None of the other options worked.

Try logging in with the alternwtive options saying you forgot your email. I used my phone and name and password and that worked.
