It is entirely possible that your PIN IS still working. The Android update to One UI 7.0 now requires a 6 digit pin for not hitting OK, if your PIN is still 4 digits, type it in then press OK, this should let you unlock your device.

When did this happen? I have a 4 digit pin, but suddenly I cannot even enter it because after typing in 4 digits, the OK button is still greyed out.

I've been asking this everywhere, but you are the first one to say that there actually was a recent change to a required 6 digit pin. Your suggestion would be great, if I actually could hit OK after putting in the pin.

i don't suppose 4-digit pins are auto-converted to 6 digits with two leading or trailing zeroes, or some such. Any chance of that?

I have been going through the same issue and my device has been locked for a week now, it asks to enter a 6 digit PIN when my original PIN was 4 digits, were you able to get this resolved without factory reset?

Same issue. This is a big problem and a significant waste of time. The password is not accepted as the enter button is greyed out. I'm about to reset it, but this is a very serious issue. We all have better things to do.

my wife had this problem today after updating her s24. stress and stresses later and a refusal to factory reset i was reading some of these comments aloud to her. comments about 4 digit pins becoming 6 digit pins made her think about some previous passkeys used on laptops and PCs. even though her phones were only secured with biometrics and 4 digit pins (which had become unrecognized since the update) and had never been set up or secured with a 6 digit pin, she tried a 6 digit passkey that had been used on a laptop. it worked! how it happened or why are unknown but apparently after the update the phone adopted a 6 digit passkey from another device. maybe via some shared account between the two.
