How to get apps screen in horizontal view instead of scrolling

I just got the new update and I'm trying to figure out of to get the app screen to go back to swiping to get to the apps instead of scrolling up and down I don't like this

Open the App screen. Click the 3 dots at the end of the Search bar. Click Sort. Change it to Custom. Now the app pages swipe right to left.

I misspoke clean up pages doesn't automatically make them go into alphabetical order I really hope they fix this and the search at the bottom is really working my nerves

Why in the world would you not allow alphabetical sort and swipe, please put this back..
This update is awful, quit forcing changes instead provide options...

Thanks!!! but I had to also click the "fill empty space" and then alpha order....Got it back to usual.

The new vertical-only alphabetic app drawer in One UI 7 is frustrating and lacks customization. Please bring back alphabetic horizontal app drawer or allow users to choose.

Yea.... but no. Its jumbles the apps.

Should be alphabetical. Sideways I know how many swipes to get to the app I want. Continuous vertical scroll means I really need to look for and it demands my eye concentration to find.
