YouTube Picture in picture not working

Anyone else having issues with this on their phone? As soon as I hit the home button to have YouTube play in the background it stops and the window goes black.

It works fine for me too. You can clear the cache of the phone, also some videos won't play in picture in picture

Tried clearing the phone cache and the YouTube cache. It worked on my S22, but hasn't worked since getting the S24. Can't figure it out.

Do you have the permission to appear on top as well as the permission for picture in picture under the permissions menu in the device settings enabled?

Yes, I've toggled that in and off as well to see if it would work. YouTube box stalls and goes to black when I hit the home button. Can't figure it out.

Same problem on S24 Ultra. Really frustrating, all the settings are correct to enable PIP but it doesn't work.

S23+ and having the same issue. Checked all permissions & options - both on phone & in youtube app. Very frustrating.

Mine works, but for some reason, I can't pause or skip in PiP??? Has someone had the same issue and figured out how to fix it? Pls helpeth

I ended up having to factory data reset. Then it started working.

S24 ultra I'm having the same issue . (Also I have premium). Seems to be a problem with the pop out video .
