I have a Samsung S24. I recently did an update and now when i take photos the images automatically enhance when i view them in Gallery. The images then look contrasty over exposed and bright. I have tried everything to switch this off. I have switched intelligent optimisation to minimum (there is no option to turn it off completely) I have turned off Galaxy AI photo assist. I have tried taking photos in pro mode and raw mode. I have cleared data and cache. I have restarted my phone. I have restored the camera to factory settings. None of this has worked. Can anyone advise? Thanks, Andy

Go to camera settings, intelligent optimization, and then turn scene optimizer off.

It's strange that it still optimizes it in pro mode. The only other option is to install "Good Lock" from the Galaxy Store, this provides other apps you can use to change various settings that are not in the regular settings app including camera settings to disable this.

The gallery app setting to turn on HDR while viewing photos needs to be turned off. That should take care of the extra brightness and stuff. Do you notice the screen getting progressively brighter when you enter the picture viewer? If so its the hdr setting.

I managed to figure out that it was indeed the hdr setting that needed to be turned off. I don't know why but when I updated my phone it reset a lot of my settings. So thank you all for your input, much appreciated. All fixed until the next samsung update no doubt!

Are you using an S25* or the S24*? If it is an S24 model, this should be posted in the S24 community.
