S25 ultra Messages Grouped/stacked notifications

Is this new in One UI 7?

When I get text notifications from multiple people they stack/group and displays the number to the right of the tile. And I need to click it for it to expand to see everything.

Remember on my s24 each text got their own tile.

I keep missing notifications from texts cause they are being grouped.

How can I disable this?

Can you try this?
Tap and hold the notification, tap settings, notification categories, and then find the particular category for the message that you're looking for. If you do not see notification categories then go to settings, notifications, advanced seeing, then toggle "Manage notification categories for each app" and see if it goes back to the way that you're used to.

You haven't noticed that some apps do this? If you have notification categories activated in the notification section then you're able to enable and disable certain different types of notifications for each app rather than just turn notifications on or off for the whole app. If the notification are both in the same category then they will group. I really hope that they finally made this a feature where the whole app will group notifications because I'm so sick of getting a separate notification for the same app. My panel is always so long. How do you keep missing certain messages when you have a messages notification? Just tap that and see who messaged you.

Notification categories are turned off and it's still doing it

Other apps it's fine, I just don't like this on the Google messages app. Hard to see if others experience it as well,

Same issue. I can't find a way to turn off stacked/grouped notifications. It's fine with just about everything except emails and texts. I prefer to see those separated out. Hopefully they update this and give us the ability to have individual notifications again

+1 please return ungrouping feature for notifications. there is no option to unstack application notifcations in one ui 7 as it was in one ui 6

+1000. I need the option to have at least the first few of the recent emails, chats (Slack, Teams, etc.) visible rather than grouping them and putting a small, almost invisible number next to them.

This needs to be fixed, I am completely missing notifications because it hardly looks like there are any behind the only visible one and I want the separated out

I figured out if you first turn a specific contact conversation to "bubble", then switch the notification setting for that conversation to "Priority" and then turn off bubble and turn back on "Show as pop-up" it will not be grouped! Kind of a lot of work to do it with every person and it's only for texts, but it's a start.

Yes please fix. Make it v obvious that there are a group, or ask for confirmation when dismissing multiple. I've missed calendar meeting notifications cos of this
