Gallery Search is not as good now on one ui 7

Before one one ui 7 searching for things in my gallery was amazing. It would find anything I was looking for even key words or words in images. Now it can't find a simple image of a credit card for some reason it pops up "cars" then shows me a picture of a sky. Any way to go back to how it was please!

new to S25 Ultra and on my old S23 I was able to search for albums in the search bar and now i start typing and it suggest album names and when I select the correct one it shows me random photos that aren't in that album that I selected.

I hope samsung can fix this and let me search for an exact album and I just see the contents of that album only

I'm curious how many albums you have that you actually need to search for one? However, if the search function is not working properly on the new phone, you should put in an error report through the support tab of the Members app. You can go into all albums view and then tap the menu to sort your albums alphabetically, which will make them easier to find until they fix the search.

It's always frustrating to find that "upgrades" are just regressed trash. Seem to find a worse version of a feature every other week. This one is about the search features.

I've had the 24, 23, 22, all ultra, whatever, and if I needed an image I could search and find it. If I needed a screenshotted document that I only knew had the number "83" somewhere on it, typing that number in search would find that document. There are examples for days, but now this ✨️AI✨️ trash that costs us actual SPen features can't find A thing. I needed a cartoon image that was almost only just huge words reading "I guess". Can't find it. Go to search in gallery. "I guess" yields no results. "Guess" yields no results. "Cartoon" just brings up some random smattering of things, some are just pictures of actual real cats. Not once have I used this feature and found what I was looking for. Trash. Absolute trash. Regressed, worse, trash.

Same here! Cancelled my trade-in and returned the S25 ultra because gallery search does not work the same.

The screenshot is from the S23 Ultra, the picture is the screen of the S25 ultra. The phones have all of the same images, documents and videos.

Searching the gallery on the S23 gives 351 items. Searching the gallery on the S25 gives 3.

Samsung, please don't bring this update to the S23 Ultra!!!

Something as simple as searching for the images on a particular date doesn't work anymore.

Just another AI trash update which makes things worse, wish I could downgrade the gallery app

Same Issue here with my S25 Ultra. Can't find nothing, I've done everything I've read, like cleaning cache and data on Gallery App, giving all access to Gallery, enabling Samsung Service Core, Restarting, and nothing works.

I wish I had never updated it this is the most horrific change of a search feature for the photo gallery and my app screen I hate it I wish I had never done it it makes me want to go buy an iPhone

I hate the new update too. It was so easy to find images by date or year or tags or words in the picture even and now I can't find anything at all! Change it back Samsung! You've broken it.

I have had the same issue. I bought a Samsung S23+ and now a Samsung S25 Ultra. In the S23+, I could easily search images; for example, I could search for a photo of my credit card by entering details in the gallery's search bar. But this is not possible in the S25 Ultra. I'm frustrated with this downgrade. Someone, please help.

The gallery search on my S25 is absolutely useless. It worked great on my S23. I search for a location (my old workplace, where I have many photos) to find a picture and it gives me 6 results, two of which aren't even in the right country.

How did it get this bad?

My old Samsung I could search for things within Pictures and albums and it would find it no problem. This new S25 Ultra Gallery stinks. It doesn't find anything. Pls fix this!!!!!

I find the image search very good. It's the finding a contact to text that is a REAL pain in the backside. For instance, I open messages and search by the name and all sorts of wrong things come up. Just as bad--actually worse-- is Messenger by Facebook. I don't like wasting time to find things, since I have to do things quickly. It's very frustrating.

My gallery hasnt been compatible for almost two years, even on my new s25 ultra. Its not even visible in the galaxy store anymore. Possibly a cause of my file corruption. If gallery having issues with the device how is it behaving with other apps. Ive got every level and kind of file corruption of my photos...thousands lost and not getting better. Photography was the only thing that made me happy...thanks samsung...i get to cry everyday watching my work and connection to whats left of my past disappear.
