Unable to get Extended Unlock to turn on S25 Ultra

I can't get trusted places to turn on. I have set this up on every phone I have ever owned. It just won't turn on.

Updated Google Play Services to the current version. Wiped cache in Google Play Services and cache partition !

Anyone else with this problem on their S25U?

Have you tried Samsung's version? I've found it to be much more reliable on my S23+.

I don't use Google's Extend Unlock triggers (Trusted places, Trusted devices, etc.) to keep the phone unlocked. I tried that when I first got my previous phone, but found Google's Trusted place triggers unreliable and switched to using Samsung's settings instead.

Samsung has the ability to add locations (home, work, etc.) to your Samsung profile. You can add a wifi network to one of these places to make sure your phone can confirm that you're at the right place. You can then use the places in your Samsung profile as triggers for Modes and Routines. For example, I have a Routine that triggers while I'm at home and, among other things, keeps my phone unlocked.

When you set a place as a trigger for a Mode or Routine you can define the radius around the location, so I'm able to have the whole house included in the same Place trigger. This radius can be set anywhere from .1 miles to 1.2 miles.

(Be aware that when setting up or editing any Routine that keeps your phone unlocked, you'll be required to enter a passcode or fingerprint before you can save that Routine.)

This method still has Extended Unlock's limitations (still need to enter pin/passcode after 4 hours, after missed call, etc.). This just provides a more reliable and flexible way to trigger it.

It's not an S25 thing. It happened to my wife's 24+, too.
Apparently the latest update wiped the trusted places. You'll have to reenter them all.

It was working just fine on my S24U. You can't turn it on in the S25U.

Experiencing the same thing on my S25U. Can't even get trusted places to trigger. Trusted devices works just fine. I suspect One UI 7 might've broken something.

I set up as a routine in Modes and Routines. It turns on when I'm home and turns off when I leave. Works flawlessly.

I too with new S25+ can not turn trusted places on. Works with trusted device. In my case the main screen says trusted places is off, tap to turn on - which just takes you to the screen to select location, but no way to turn it on.

I have found the FIX. The toggle ON/OFF is the Text line above the list of trusted places (also same for body detection) in the lock screen and AOD menu sub menu Extend Unlock.

Just click that line (see below) as the On OFF. The graphic lock does NOT change (it should!) But once clicked you can see the location is now active.

You gotta be kidding me. Tapping the text "Use trusted places for Extend Unlock" is the toggle? That has to be the most asinine design language I have ever seen.

EDIT: There is very small ON/OFF text that changes when you tap that toggle. Virtually impossible to see in dark mode. Get it together, Samsung. 🙄
