Mic 1 not working since October 29th Update.

Mic 1 on my s25 Ultra has not worked on any 1st party or 3rd party app in over a month. I have reported the bug to Samsung and nothing. Its absolutely frustrating since its software related and not hardware. Mic 2 works on camera. Did all the options Samsung recommended, and still nothing. Even when using my buds 3 pro or bluetooth mic it doesnt pick up sound. But, when on Google chrome, I can use a mic tester and it works fine. All apps dont record sound and talk to speech doesnt work either. I know a lot of others are having this issue, if anyone found a solution please let us know. This is pathetic.

I have s25 ultra after a week suddenly i have a proplem sending voice notes in any application whatsapp messenger even voice order to bixby or gemini and i made everything to fix it even factory reset it seems to be mic 1 problem and don't know how to fix it

Have you used voice recorder and listen to yourself to determine the sounds quality?

All mics were working well the proplem is in mic 1 but it's software problem cause the problem was in the voice recorded in camera but it resolved after that i don't know how ti fix this

Yes, and obviously its gonna give me that something goes wrong because upon asking me for mic 1, you'd click no and it tells you that something is wrong, you click yes and it tells you that everythings normal.

We can't really use Device Care to determine whether if the microphone is fine or not.

To top it all off: I've used the diganostic program that you access using *#0*# and still nothing.

The problem is that I can't determine a root cause.

@Ahmedshatat01 The diagnostic test is a confirmation of a hardware problem if you didn't get a recording when using Mic 1.

You will need to contact Samsung support to have the device evaluated.

@Ahmedshatat01 How did you fix this? I'm having the same problem. I can't send any voice messages in WhatsApp or use any voice-related applications. I tried voice recording, and it still gives a flat line. One thing I noticed was that if I switch to speaker mode while on calls, the mic works; otherwise, it doesn't. I tried troubleshooting, and it says something is wrong.

Have the same issue. Only with apps. On Google I did a mic test and the mic works fine. Moment I open an app, it doesnt work. Samsung says they cant find anything wrong but its absolutely ridiculous.

Verify that you have completed the troubleshooting steps below: Tried to record something via the voice recorder and camera app, cleaned the microphone, and your device and apps are up to date. Did you try your device in Safe Mode to verify that a third party app is not causing the issue: Booting your Samsung Galaxy into Safe mode | Samsung CA

If your microphone is working normally in Safe Mode then there is a third party app causing the issue, you would need to uninstall any app that could be causing the issue.

Have tried all of that. It is not hardware, as bluetooth input with buds or any other device doesnt register either.

If it helps, I found an issue with the voice recorder app and how it relates to my issue. Without headphones in, it doesnt pick up input. With headphones in, it picks up input. But, the only way I can get input on any apps or speech to text, is by opening voice recorder with headphones on, starting a recording, pausing it, then leaving the app open and going to another app to record input. Speech to text, Snapchat ect all pick up audio while the recording is paused. When I close the recorder app, my phone goes back to zero input across all apps. Hope this helps the bug process...

S25 Ultra updated last night to 8.0, Android version 16 and now mic 1 is not working. Mic 2 still works.

Multiple apps like voice recorder, Snapchat, voice-to-text, don't pick up any audio. This is NOT an individual app issue. Tested both mics with Members app.

Have restarted. Have verified all settings are appropriate (i.e, "microphone access" isnt disabled).

A15 mic is not working. Please please help

Since the new update the mic will not work unless your on speakerphone and you cant use talk to speech or anything please please help someone please I have restarted the phone cleaned it all of the above when I blow into it it picks it up its a mic routing issue please help

I agree this is a known issue its a software issue im having the same problem
