Clearing App Card Notification

When I open reddit notifications from inside the app, it doesnt clear the notification from my phones notifications tab. Still shows the notification, why?

Go to settings, search for Repeat Notifications and make sure it's off. If it is off, press the b option and it will take you to the apps that are to repeat and activate it on, and then disable any apps that are emailed then turn it off. That, or clear the cache for the app this happened to me other day.

These aren't repeating notifications. These are notifications that don't clear from notification panel even after viewing the notification in the app.

Because you are supposed to tap the notification to open the app, not open the app to clear the notification. Only the messaging apps will clear the notification if you open the app and if you go to the message that the notification was for.
