Hello Sketchbig, welcome to the Samsung Community! I understand your frustrations with your SIM card not working correctly with your device. Most issues with your SIM card will need to be resolved by your carrier. Before you contact them, there are a couple of things you can try first, like checking the SIM card for damage or swapping it with one from another phone.

Remove the SIM card and inspect it for damage or corrosion. Reinsert the SIM card, making sure it is properly installed in the tray.

On most models, the SIM card should be placed on the tray with the gold-colored contact facing upwards. If you insert the tray into the slot while the SIM card is placed improperly, the SIM card may not be recognized.

You can check out our guide to make sure you are removing and inserting the SIM card correctly.

If you have another active line with your carrier, you can try that SIM card with your device.

If your SIM card continues to have issues, you will need to get a replacement SIM card from your carrier. You can also try contacting your carrier if you continue to have issues with the SIM card.

If you have verified that your SIM is working and active, your device requires service. Please visit a Samsung walk-in service center or you can schedule a repair service online.

I updated my phone a couple of days ago and now I have no network connection. On reboot I get a message that says my SIM is not supported. Spent hours talking to my carrier, got multiple eSIMs, and still nothing. Anyone else have this issue and if so, have you found a solution? My phone is a S25+ and I have been using it without issue since June 2025.

Have you reached out to Samsung tech support? May have to have it reflashed. I would try a factory reset first but if that dont work and If your tech savvy, xda has instructions on how to do it yourself but it may also not fix your issue or make it worse. However, usually a reflash would fix the issue as this is a sign of a corrupted update. You'll need to send it to Samsung and have them do it for you or if you know what your doing..... 🖖🏻

These are the instructions I used..

Hello, The issue you are experiencing is because of a glitch caused by Samsung's latest software update. Good news — we’ve identified a faster and safer fix for Samsung devices affected by the recent software update. In most cases, the device can be re-unlocked by flashing only the modem (CP) file using Samsung’s official ODIN tool. -We would highly recommend backing up your phone first using Samsung Smartswitch, which should be preloaded on the phone. You can also download a PC version of Smartswitch. ✅ No data loss (when steps are followed correctly) ✅ Phone works immediately after ✅ Current security update remains intact ⚠️ IMPORTANT – READ BEFORE STARTING You MUST remove your phone’s passcode / PIN / pattern / fingerprint / face lock before flashing the CP file. If a passcode remains on the device, the phone may force a factory reset after flashing. You may re-enable your passcode once the process is complete. After the Fix: Prevent Future Relocking (Recommended) To help prevent this issue from occurring again, we strongly recommend disabling automatic system update downloads on your device. Steps: -Go to Settings -Tap Software Update -Switch Auto download to Never This does not prevent you from updating manually in the future — it simply ensures updates do not install automatically without your approval. Summary of Steps -Backup your phone -Remove your screen lock / passcode -Download ODIN and the provided CP file -Put your phone into Download Mode -Open ODIN and connect your phone -Load ONLY the CP file -Click START and wait for PASS -Turn Auto Download Off Once the phone restarts, it should be unlocked and fully functional immediately, with all data preserved.

You have to download Odin (lastest version)
You have to download the files from Samfw.com

After 6-8 hours talking to support, sending phone to samsung and getting it back. I've had to tranfer my service back to my old s10e because it still works. After the samsung repair shop had it(they sent it back without the SIM tray), it worked for mobile network data but still wouldn't connect for calls and texts. I'm going to have to send it back again. Hopefully it gets resolved. It has been a very frustrating experience.
