Need help with eliminating the Reminder App

How do I eliminate the Reminder app? It keeps adding things to my calendar. Such as things it says it subscribe to and get charged for.

You can long press on it and select Uninstall.

It does not have that option.

I've always had the option to uninstall it just looked on my S25 Ultra and the uninstall option is listed on it as well.

Try long pressing and select the little i and see if the option shows.

@Autumn26 I use the Reminder app extensively and I have never had it add anything to the calendar or promote anything. The items in your calendar are coming from something else and removing the Reminder app won't stop them.

Unable to do that with the latest version. Many people left poor reviews. I turned everything off in the app, hopefully this work.

@Autumn26 Please post a screenshot of the app that you are trying to remove. It has the uninstall option on my S25 Ultra.

Any chance you have a way to show the manifest or the permissions (the ones on the "all permissions" page)? Also a quick look at the licenses would interest me, though you don't have to send them. I'm just curious to see if it matches a pattern I've seen recently.

Sounds like malwafe to me. If it's referring you to apps, it may already have the ability to reconfigure downloaded apps as they come in. That, or they are banking on the idea you will get the hint that you have malware and that you will click a link and/or download their junk so they can gain that access.

The reminder app could be just as dirty and needs to be disabled and checked. However, i absolutely agree that initial access or entry was probably something else and Autum needs to get some logs and info ASAP to hopefully get a grip on it. Cross your fingers that it isn't in your packge manager and/or running Bixby or Gemini.

Thank you for being a part of Samsung Community. POP UPs! Although useful in some situations, they can most definitely occupy the driver's seat on a road trip to insanity. I understand your frustration.
Quick question for you, have you tried booting your device into safe mode to determine if you continue getting the pop reminders? Safe mode halts the function of all 3rd party apps. This would then help to determine if in fact we might be dealing with malware attached to a 3rd party application. Follow the following link to get more information about safe mode:

In addition, you can delete or disable the Reminder app on Android or iOS, and remove individual or completed reminders to free up space and manage notifications.

Check if the app can be uninstalled: Some Samsung devices include the Reminder app as a system app, which may not allow full deletion:

1.Uninstall via Apps Menu: Open the Apps icon, long-press the Reminder app, and select Uninstall if available. Confirm your choice.

2.Uninstall via Settings: Go to Settings > Apps > Reminder, then tap Uninstall if the option appears.

3.Disable if uninstall is unavailable: Navigate to Settings > Apps > Reminder, then select Disable to stop the app from running and remove it from the app drawer.

4.Google Play-installed apps: Open the Google Play Store > My apps & games, select the Reminder app, and tap Uninstall.
