Switching to Apple

I never would have thought in my life that I would say this but I am going to switch to Apple.

I might as well since Samsung wants to be the Android version of Apple.

I have been a Samsung user since their very first cell phone. I have owned every single note that they have made and every single Ultra device except for the s26 ultra.

Over the years the things that made me be a fan they got rid of and they have also not listened to my request. There is a few main reasons why I am switching to Apple. As soon as Apple updates their Siri to have better AI I will be switching. Whenever Gemini was first available on my phone I could do practically everything I could do on Gemini that I could do on Bixby. They since have hindered Gemini to keep Bixby relevant. On Gemini you used to be able to make location based reminders and now I got to juggle between different AIS for something that Gemini should be able to do. On top of that the voice to text sucks it always has been and there's thousands of forums complaining about it but no updates! They could use AI to better voice to text and that goes for Google and bixby. As a matter of fact I am using voice to text right now and I have not been able to make two sentences so far without having to edit. It's complete trash! In comparison to Apples voice to text it's night and day I can actually somewhat reliably use it. Things that Samsung used to make fun of Apple for they are doing themselves like getting rid of the SD card slot or having a hole punch camera. I'm sick and tired of them copying Apple and not copying them enough to have some of their features that make them what they are like having a true face ID. They take away the IR Blaster FM radio Bluetooth S Pen I can go on and on every year they try to figure out how to save more money by getting rid of some feature that they had before and replacing it with some software. Here lately they haven't been innovating just like Apple. In the past three phones that they've made the cameras have practically stayed the same. Also here lately with the new beta update it is riddled with bugs. I like the look and user experience of the new OS but it is honestly just another attempt to copy Apple which I believe looks even better there is certain things that Android has or I should say Samsung that is better than Apple and just makes more sense like being able to force close all apps at the same time. Apple has better interoperability with their apps for example on Samsung reminders if I try to use the AI and tell it to make a reminder and put it in a custom category that I made it won't do it but on Apple it will that is just one thing out of hundreds of little Nuance things that I have encountered that Apple just does better. The biggest reason why I'm switching is because of Apple simplicity it having one AI that can do everything and them already having a better voice to text. I have heard that Google pixel phones have better voice to text since it's a Google made device but I have heard other people say that their iPhone is better than a Google pixel phone for voice to text too either way they're all s*** and they need to be worked on. You would think that they could use AI to figure out what the **bleep** I'm trying to say and to give proper grammar and punctuation.

You have heard, I can tell you that voice to text on a Pixel is leaps and bounds better than any phone currently on the market.

Well i hope you get good experience with Apple, I'm still a apple user and I first moved to Samsung when they didn't have the phone I wanted, now, I have about 5 samsung phones, but I still use my ipad 10th gen. Either way they're the same for me and I really don't agree with those phone wars.

I get that you're very unhappy with the phone. Samsung voice input is unbelievably horrible! I found that to be the case many years ago and switched over to Google voice input Which is far superior and it's what I'm using now to dictate this reply. I love Apple products and have a Mac and an iPad and iPod but I can't stand their phones. I have been a Samsung user for more than 15 years now. I hope you find what you're looking for!

I use perplexity and comet/ Google for web page's. I can do the samething Gemini does but better. I didn't even know bixby was still around! But I never used it i read they were using perplexity in the 26 but I've been using it about 3 months? It's awesome. I'm starting to agree about apple? It's closed source, and my phone takes way better pictures. My daughter has a pixel i think? Her pictures are as good or better than the 25ultra.

I use both on a daily basis and I have for years. Siri is better and can do more than bixby

The voice input that I am complaining about on my Samsung phone is from Google I gave up on using Samsung's years ago. I've had MacBooks in the past iPods and I currently have a iPad Mini I have never owned a iPhone in my life

Yeah Bixby still around and you still have to use it if you want to make location based reminders. When Jim and I was first available on the Samsung phones you can pretty much do everything that you could on bixby on Gemini. When Siri gets its update soon I'm pretty sure it will be an AI that will be able to do everything that I need to do and I won't need to juggle through different AIS chat GPT, bixby, Gemini.

I used voice to text for this only thing I did was put some commas in there because it couldn't even do that

Oh trust me I am I made up my mind since this update I'm **bleep**ing done with Samsung phones. With the amount of bugs that is in their beta update you would think that they would try to do a update every week like apple does. I have to restart my phone around 10 times a day just for basic functions to work.

The people that work for Samsung currently and have been for around 6 years is the reason why I'm leaving

I thought about it I've been watching a lot of videos and researching and I think I'm still going to go ahead with the iPhone a big reason why I'm going with the iPhone is because of face ID. I also like the OS and a lot of things that they do just make sense for me. It probably sounds stupid but their reminders app is also a big reason.
