Samsung Email opens randomly

I just started using Samsung Email and noticed it wod randomly open when I launch other apps. I could open Samsung Health and the screen would swipe open Samsung Email. It's not just the Health app, it could happen with any other app I open such as Internet Browser. I've cleared out data/cache, uninstalled and reinstalled Samsung Email but it still happens. This doesn't happen with Gmail.

So I tried running my phone in safe mode but I couldn't replicate the issue as most apps won't open. I reset my phone and the issue replicated this morning after opening an unrelated email app, so I will pursue reaching out to a tech since the provided steps above did not fix the issue.

Thanks for confirming that information. Safe mode is used as a diagnostic tool that temporarily disables all third-party apps, allowing you to check if a downloaded app is causing the issue. As you mentioned that you weren't able to replicate the issue in Safe Mode, which means a downloaded third-party app is most likely the cause. It's recommended to delete your most recent third-party apps from the device and see if it stops.

That would make sense, but when the phone is in safe mode, Samsung Email is also disabled so it's not a true test that would replicate the issue. Just to reiterate, the Gmail email client doesnt produce the same issue. No other app launches automatically like Samsung
Email so wouldn't the issue be with Samsung email app issue? No other app exhibits this behavior.

That sucks! Since you are only experiencing this with just the Samsung Email app, I recommend submitting an error report via Members app.

How to submit an Error Report:

1. Open the Samsung Members app.
2. Tap on the Support tab (usually bottom right).
3. Select Error reports.
4. Choose the category that best matches your issue.
5. Describe the issue in detail, select the frequency, and attach any relevant screenshots or videos.
6. Ensure "Send system log data" is checked to help technicians diagnose the issue.
7. Tap the Send icon (arrow).

I also would recommend calling 1-800-SAMSUNG (726-7864) so one of our agents can remotely access your device, it will be easier for them to replicate the issue and provide better assistance.
