I bought a unlock S25 Ultra a year ago. Have no success in roaming internationally except Toronto, Canada. My setting is set for international roaming. Chat with Samsung, they just help me reset my mobile data and refer me to my mobile provider. Went to mobile provider they said its my phone. Anyone having this issue?
I am almost certain it is my phone blocking the roaming. My husband has the I phone and we both have the same provider. He connects seamlessly when he turn off airplane mode while I cant get any signal.

Any tips?

Who is your carrier? Roaming is a carrier issue and should have nothing to do with the phone. If you get a signal when you are not roaming, it's not likely to be an antenna or SIM issue. It seems like it might be a problem connecting to your carrier's roaming partners. When you speak to your carrier, make sure you are speaking to tech support, not customer service. Store personnel are not tech support, they are salespeople.

I understand. I used to have a S22 no problem connecting. My question is ..... husband and I have same carrier(Spectrum that runs on Verizon) . Only different denominator is the phone. I have S25Ultra and he has I phone 15.

It would still be a carrier issue. Likely with your phone's mobile configuration. I had a similar problem a few years ago with my carrier and they worked it out.

Your carrier should be the one to have this looked at

I had a similar issue on my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra — turned out it wasn’t the phone.

If it only works in Canada, it’s most likely your carrier not properly enabling roaming in other countries. Mine said it was “on” too, but it actually wasn’t fully provisioned.

Try manually selecting a network and double-check APN settings, but honestly I’d push your carrier again. In my case, they had to fix something on their end.

iPhones also tend to connect faster abroad, so that part doesn’t surprise me.
