topic Front camera not focussing in Galaxy S25

Since the latest software update my front camera is unable to focus, automatically and manually. I've updated all apps, reset the camera settings, cleared cache and restarted the phone. Nothing works. A Samsung bot suggested resetting the phone, but I am not going to do that since I will loose everything.

Can Samsung fix this with a software update?

If everything has been tried, has the lens on the front been carefully looked at for the tiniest of scratches or grime? Clean it with a soft cloth and use a magnifier to look at the lens. If it looks good then resetting the device may eb the only fix left.

So, back up all of settings and other stuff, that would make resetting the phone less time consuming when setting it back up. That may be your only fix if all of those fix attempts have failed and the lens is good.

If I use manual focus, wouldn't it already at least show some changes? It looks like, whatever the position on the focus slider is, the image does not change
