Hi guys! Recently, I've gotten an S25 for my birthday (Dec. 26th) and I'm liking it so far! Except that when I use the water fingerprint animation in Lock Star (or the 3rd fingerprint animation) the animation plays in 60fps when every other one plays in 120fps, and that wasn't an issue when I got the phone, but when I updated it to OneUI 8 December(?) Patch, I've tried reinstalling Lock Star, wiping it's data and cache, restarting the phone, wiping the phone's cache, going to an older patch (which, just softbricked my phone instead), I haven't tried formatting it tho, which, I'm not doing because it'll be hard to get all my photos and videos and reconfiguring everything. What do I do?

Qestion, is your phone still soft bricked?

Is LockStar not working anymore because you tampered with the OS?

Is it only that the 1 animation is 60 hertz and used to be 120 hertz?

Wait until you see what is in Ui 8.5 and LockStar, those are gone and there are new ones.

You can backup your phone on an external hard drive using Smart Switch and not lose anything.
You are thinking about a factory reset to fix an inconsequential animation?

If one got the phone brand new on Dec 26, last year, it was more than likely still on an older firmware from UI 7.0 as it remains warehoused until new owner updates to a newer standard firmware when they first use it and updated it. When turning on the phone for the first time, a prompt would have come up to update to the latest firmware. That can be by-passed but then it uses older firmware the whole time.

If that was bypassed to then personalize the aesthetics and functions of the device, then updating it could have been the issue. It is very possible a conflict happened with the personalization of that device pre-updating it then had a conflict while an older LockStar was on it. If one can check the FPS of that animation, they have some tech knowledge of the phone already. I am more surprised that one attempted a reversal of the firmware, which means using specific software command line tools and a PC. Any other mistake, the phone is bricked, permanently without special JTAG servicing, so I don't see how one soft bricked the device and kept the UI device operable by simply restarting it.

The device has an issue on the fingerprint animation speed and that would not be from any kind of soft bricking, which means the phone has to be reset fresh using the same tools used to attempt to the flash older firmware as it is recoverable as a device. At this point, may as well stick with what is there as it seems completely operational, update the device to the latest patch and then wait until the UI 8.5 is released. I am only suggesting that because it is not far off and if that is the only issue, perhaps uninstalling LockStar, then updating to that firmware soon, then using the/a newer version of LockStar could resolve that issue. If not, then resetting the device using the latest firmware update may well be needed. Otherwise in either scenario, back up settings and data, then update the phone to current firmware to make the animations work if the aforementioned fails to make it right.
