Issue with edge lightning

Hi, I have had this issue for a while now and it really bothers me so I hope I can get help here.

My phone (Galaxy S25+) is incredible, comming from the Galaxy s9+. The edge lightning worked really nice. But a couple of months ago it just stoped working, no settings where changed, no apps was installed.

Then a few weeks later it worked again, but only when the notifications sound was on and I really want to be able to turn all sounds off and still see if I get notifications. Fast forward, a couple of weeks back, now the edge lightning does not work at all. I did actually do a reinstall of the OS, much because my galaxy watch refused to pair with the phone but that works like a charm now. But I really want some help with the edge lightning. Got any ideas?

That's the same behavior I encountered on the S23U I no longer have. Edge lighting used to work and then it didn't. All settings were exactly what they needed to be. There was no rhyme or reason for it that I could determine. All of this started after One UI 7 was rolled out. I'm convinced something was broken by an update and Samsung never fixed it.

Mine isn't working on my S26 Ultra but worked great on my S25 Ultra.
