With the new OneUI8.5 update, font changing is being clamped down on, which is fair, as nefarious actors could use the same back end software methods for attacks. However, font changing was not just being done by people who wanted an appearance change. I have long been passionate about using 3 historical scripts for the Albanian language and have tried everything to be able to use them and render them properly. I have even made my own keyboards with Keyman, these scripts are:

Elbasan (currently enjoys full fallback font support on the OS and thus all apps and websites with some browser help) (One Google Noto Font available for it, sans, that is the one used)

Vithkuqi (no OS support, and no apps or websites support it either) (Two Google Noto Fonts available for it, a serif and sans)

Todhri (no OS support, newest script of the list to be added to unicode, 0 app or website support) (One Google Noto Font available for it, serif)

Please add this support, since if there is close cooperation with the Google Noto project, this should not be difficult to add. I would prefer the Serif for Vithkuqi instead of the sans, to maintain uniformity between the scripts. I understand adding fallback font support usually prioritizes support for scripts actively used in widely spoken foreign languages, and these more historical scripts can get lost, it does become much more of a frustration with restrictions to system font changing, since fonts offered in the Galaxy Store focus more on appearance changes rather than multi-lingual support, or historic script support. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Just sent the feedback. Noticed I also left one last year when OneUI8 was being released, was hoping the big esthetic Android 16 update would have everything up to date, including fallback font support. They did get back to me with a probably automatically generated response with their customer support number. Maybe this time they respond but until then I can only hope.
