Push the UI 8.5 update to older phones already

Push the UI 8.5 to the s25 already, tired of dealing with the bad battery life on UI 8.0. Just push the update already, why do the people who own older phones have to suffer?

If it were up to Samsung, we'd all have it by now. But until the service providers approve of the update, we wont get it. That includes the factory unlocked phones. So basically, you have to be patient

They should of put 8.0 on the s26 phones as well then. It's definitely good enough to push out. They just trying to drag it out because of the s26 phones. People literally saying besides the screen privacy feature and camera stabilizer feature there is no real upgrade. Battery is still at 5k, so it's no reason why they can't push the 8.5 update or at least release a battery optimization update. Been dealing with this **bleep** battery ever since I updated to this UI 8.0. I've seen that 8.5 fixes the battery issues on the s25, so they need to push it out and work out all the other kinks along the way like they always do. Samsung becoming more and more shady.

I agree. Their "trying to milk" the s26 sales as long as possible. But most Samsung users who own the s25 ultra, it's not worth the upgrade. The phone doesn't outperform the s25 ultra enough to warrant paying over a grand for a new device that we just paid less than a year ago. Now according to rumors, the s27 series will be substantial enough to pay for a new device, but we have a while to wait on that...but I digress, I rambled on about that too much...
The 8.5 update fixes a lot of the 8.0 issues we have on the s25 ultra, evident from the latest beta release. Trust me, if I could rock the beta I would, but I have a U device not U1, so it's not applicable to me direct from Samsung, and carriers usually don't participate in betas due to having to manipulate the OS to their network so frequently. I feel the UI was good enough to stable release a while ago, and incremental updates could have been pushed, like they always do, when fixes are made...or the implementation of the AI call screening, and other features they are bringing over from the s26 ultra. All I know is everyone I spoke with about it, is not pleased Samsung has let it go down like this, which ultimately overall to everyone who was a die hard Samsung user, they may lose some sales going forward due to how they do their software updates. OnePlus is another who is historically bad at software updates, but that's neither here or there....just release it already, were all more than anxiously awaiting it, we NEED it.

Just released that Samsung is doing 2 more beta's on the S25 series in April for a total of 10 beta's. So it looks like sometime in May before we see it.

Yes unfortunately I can't do beta because I'm with Verizon. I may have to end up switching this phone out for a one plus. I don't need too many fancy features. Just reliable battery life. I charge my s25 ultra sometimes twice a day. It's no need for that. I should be getting at least 2 days out of this phone and Samsung don't care.

If it's still in beta then why is it on s26 phones then? A beta shouldn't be on an official flagship phone. The s26 comes with 8.5 pre-installed already. Which means it's ready for prime time. Don't make excuses for Samsung.

Not sure what phone you are using, I am on s26 ultra and 8.5 is my worst phone experience.
