S25 Ultra Sucks

I switched From IPhone to Samsung Ultra 25 and it sucks I cant block spam . The speech to text always sucks . The gemini is trash. Will be going back to the IPhone permanently. Had to download apps just to take care of the irritation adjustments. I don't recommend any android I see why iphone has been the top brand for the consumer. Plus I can only use the s pen when convenient. The iphone pen is much better . There's nothing that makes it convenient about the Samsung phones . They should stick to tvs 📺. That the only product I woukd ever recommend.

Sorry to hear That.. But I have had a S25 Ultra for Almost a Year And It Blocks Spam Perfectly
And I've Never had a problem with Text to Speech either.
And my Gemini works just Fine!
Again.. Sorry you're having issues with Yours and that you're switching back.. But as for me.. I cannot!.. Wait till I get the Ultra S26!.. ✌🏼

Don't give up. Its worth watching a couple of YT videos to show you how to set it up to your liking. You can make Bixby your default phone ai that will do allot of phone automation for you and add a Chatgpt widget for anything you'd use Gemini for. Have you trained your voice in your Google account for better integration? I get great spam protection and the S pen has so many uses that yes, it takes some learning but you can customize it to your liking. I started on iPhone and switched 10 years ago never looking back.:) Good luck with whatever you choose. 🙂

To block spam calls on your Samsung S25 Ultra, enable the built-in Smart Call feature by opening the Phone app > Settings (three dots) > Caller ID and spam protection. Toggle on "Block spam and scam calls" and select either "Block all spam and scam calls" or "Only block high-risk scam calls." To make voice text better, make sure to switch to Google Voice. Go to voice input and switch tabs as shown in screenshots. The S Pen is the best pen in any device, and it's convenient that it's built into your phone. Gemini is an absolute powerhouse, but don't forget there are different paid tiers, unfortunately. Apple still has no true AI, and it looks like they are also going to be going with Gemini. Perplexity is now a partner with Samsung, and on your 8.5 update and my new S26 Ultra, it's baked in with Bixby, and it's really good so far. Samsung devices have unlimited capabilities and customization options. If you really dig into your device and learn everything about it you will be shocked to find how Apple will quickly lose its appeal.

So what makes the iPhone better? Always curious as to why people like them. I smashed my iPhone 3 and went back to a non smart phone until I discovered Galaxy. I was like wow this actually does things I need to use easily and intuitively. I tried every iPhone since because they're so common you can find one to borrow most places and I find they all are horrid to navigate. I really see the only thing close to a Galaxy as a possible option is a Pixel. I'm honestly asking. I ask every iPhone user why? Most have no clue usually they just started with one and kept using them. I've changed a few people to Galaxy's but the cult of Apple usually remains the same. Therefore I rarely even talk about what phone someone has because ... iPhones are just overpriced trash to me. I guess we're just opposites. I'm sorry. With no tone you can't hear my sympathy. 🙏 Fr fr 🙏

Been on Android a year and couple months now. It takes time. You can over come most pain points by figuring out how to configure. However, some will linger and continue to be a thorn in your side. I suggest providing feedback to the developers through the feedback once you get most everything figured out. Some things I don't think they will ever fix like splintered OS, the need to do a system and Google play update to get your phone up to date. Honestly it's been what, 20 years now and they still haven't figured out how to get things to run as smoothly as iOS?

The things is, if Android could get it to just work and work seemlesly across devices like iOS, Android would win.

Right now Android OS still feels like an unfinished convoluted buggy OS. This probably all has to do with the splintered OS and all the carriers having to do updates as well. Android should just go vanilla and force carriers to be like how they are with iOS. Also, combine the system update in ONE update process. IOS has 2, OS and App updates. Android has 3, system, Google play, and App. Not very streamlined and very heavy on forcing the user to take extra steps. At least they finally got tried if Cache Partition deletion. Of course I'm still kind of skeptical about it.

Since you are atleast accurate in a feasible down side. You're not working at all... It can be quite confusing and difficult at times but the iOS is completely bonkers to me personally. Since I also use no other Mac/Apple products as I find them over priced and over hyped Samsung is the obvious choice. Hardware Samsung runs the show now also so with things like DeX and multi window if you can use... Gemini, Perplexity and other AI's to simply say hey "blah blah" what's this thing and why isn't it working? And you're pretty golden.

Pixel is making progress as well. The splinter system is in place on purpose though. It's what drives innovation. I'm still getting used to functionalities that are insanely useful from an s23u to s25u jump in August. I can't imagine changing from either OS at this point in life to the other haha the younger people tho really if anything need to kick apple into gear as roles reversed heavily. Also everyone is borrowing parts from each other whereas the parts that count come from Samsung.

I'm the only one in my family with out iOS gadgets and I can't use theirs and they can use mine haha not as in a permission way we just make weird faces at eachothers screens until someone goes "just let me do it" haha 😂😂

Lack of OS splintering.
Consistent updates across devices.
No need for OS and a Play service update as well as app updates, just OS and apps.
No carrier installed BS software pre installed.
Seemless integration across devices.
Photo management across devices connected to icloud. Samsung photos don't see all Google photos images but Google photos sees all Samsung images. But not all apps will read from Google Photos and instead go to Samsung photos where you can't find the image you're looking for.
Less bugs.
ACCURATE health readings.
ACCURATE distance readings when walking/running.
Better health app integration between Apple Health and all the various health apps.
Swype keyboard functions better on iOS. I swear the one on Android has been around longer so you'd think they would have perfected it by now.
The press and hold the space bar to move around works better in all directions on iOS and not just two.
No need to restart your phone every night to avoid issues.
Deleting cache partition is no longer a thing but still is on watches.
iOS has a much easier to use file management system.

Oh and at least Apple listens to their customers about issues that cause extra steps and works to reduce them. Samsung devs don't give 2 ****s and just basically says "it's working as designed and no changes will be made." I'd switch back if I could. I'll probably stay on Samsung for a while and hope the developers start listening to advice that could h to help streamline and make things better over here. Starting with doing away with the Gallery app and just use Google Photos.

I will give props where props are due. The specific app cache and data clearing is chef's kiss 🤌 and iOS would benefit from that.
