Samsung has removed the word Samsung from their app icons. They did this quite a while ago. They just, with the update, changed the name from "internet" to "browser".

@decay2day Yes, they changed the on device app name to "Browser". It came in v29.0.4.45 linked to UI 8.5 on S26.

I'm starting to see a pattern brewing 🤔. So eventually Samsung will just be Galaxy, that way apps and such will be either a Galaxy (insert app name) app or just the app name?! My over thinking brain is 🤯🫤😟.

In OneUI7.0 when they changed the look of OneUI, Samsung decided to drop the Samsung prefix for most of their apps so that the app name would not be truncated on the home and apps screen. Instead of reducing font size, going to a second line, or scrolling the text, they opted to drop the extraneous "Samsung". Apps are generally recognized by their icons, anyway. You are noticing it now, because you either upgraded your phone and your old phone was running a OneUI version lower than 7, or the fact that they changed the browser name from "internet" to "browser".

Ya, I didn't notice a change because I have always uninstalled the app on every device. I prefer using private browsers - My default is the duck.

Although I don't use it, I think it's silly that it just says "Browser". Why do they always have to change everything.
