      <description>My SO has their phone battery acting up after this last update as well. Might as well switch to Apple after this, at least they don't pretend to gaf about doing things like Samsung is doing right now.</description>

      <description>Its ridiculous that Samsung hasn't even addressed the issue, despite every phone user reporting problems after the update. I found that charging when the phone is turned off helps speed it up. But obviously its a useless expensice brick while waiting to turn back on. The battery drains immediately, its completely ridiculous.</description>

Battery issues can be so frustrating, especially when It's draining quickly, and I'd be more than happy to help you. Since I'm not sure what troubleshooting steps you have tried I will give you a few options.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P style="margin: 0;"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;First, since we know the software is up-to-date, let's optimize your device. Go to Settings, tap Device Care, and then tap Optimize now. If Device Care determines your phone is in great condition this will not work.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P style="margin: 0;"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then, I recommend booting your device into Safe mode this will disable any 3rd party apps that could be draining your battery. I will post an article with steps by step how to boot into safe mode.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P style="margin: 0;"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The last option would be a Factory Data Reset of the device, keep in mind you will need to back up your device before you do this so nothing important is lost.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P style="margin: 0;"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please follow the link below to give you more tips and tricks on your draining battery, this link includes how to boot into safe mode and perform a Factory Reset:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>I have taken all steps except the factory reset. I refuse to do this. If I were the only one with this issue, I would possibly consider it. This battery issue did not start until the last update and if you would read through all the posts, you will see this is a HUGE problem!!!! Everyone says the same thing! This is not an isolated issue. This is a Samsung issue.</description>
