you know when you long press on edge panel side tab it activate ai select i remove ai select app and its still there whenever i long press on tab how to disable or remove it i dont use that feature I like the edge panel regular way

Hello, curtos!

To disable to AI select, you will need to open the edge panel, click the pencil towards the bottom, click the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner, then turn off the AI feature.

That only removes the shortcut from the edge panel. OP wants to know how to disable the feature entirely.

@curtos To my knowledge, there's no way to turn off the edge panel long-press activation. If it gets activated, just back out of it.

No, you can't turn it off at all. I am on stable Ui8.5 on my S26U.

I was always activating inadvertently, I had to put my edge panel tab in a spot where I wouldn't accidentally activate it.

Is that this icon here? It is so far out of my way on the edge panel, I couldn't possibly activate it by accident.

In Ui8.5 Ai Select is a long press of the Edge Panel handle. I activate it all the time accidentally. I would love to turn it off because I don't use it. You can't!

Oh, I see. Did it take the place of that icon, or is a different thing on the S series phones? Why can't they just leave well enough alone. If it's the same app, where it was was perfect because it could be ignored and not activated accidentally.

No, the icon is still there too, redundancy is a problem. I don't want the long press on the handle.

I wpuldnt think anyone would. That's the dumbest place for it, especially with the edge panel being frequently used by those who use it.

Well, that's just one more reason to keep to my A series. I was considering an upgrade in November.
