Phone is plugged in to a charger, charging does not start

The phone shows 88% charged, but also says "Charging will start at 9:20am". That's 4 hours from now. I charge the phone often and this the first time I've seen that message.
Is there a setting to delay charging? If so, I must have somehow accidentally selected that. Unlikely!🙄

Or is it possible you've turned on the charge to 90% when connected and when it drops down to 85% it will start back charging?

By learning your routines (such as overnight charging), the system prevents the phone from staying at 100% charge for extended periods, reducing chemical stress and degradation

Instead of immediately charging to 100%, the phone pauses charging at a certain threshold and calculates the best time to finish the last 20% to reach 100% just before you wake up, avoiding unnecessary heat.

Hi @SweetTasha1, thanks for reaching out to the Samsung Community. I could see your phone not charging all the way to 100% being frustrating. I would be more than happy to help you with turning off that feature if you'd like. Just like @Pianodude58 said this is a feature to help the battery life of your device. But if you would like to turn it off you would go into the settings of the phone> Battery> Battery Protection to turn it off. Once it is off your phone will charge to 100% without stopping.
