Is your phone overheating during streaming? The phone will lag or shut down to protect itself in an overheating situation. There's usually a little (very, very brief) "toast" message when this happens. Note that your phone does not have to feel hot to be overheating, sometimes overheating is detected at the core before it can heat the entire unit. You can check if you missed any toasts by going to settings/notifications/advanced settings/notification history, or downloading Good Guardians Thermal Guardian from the Galaxy store to see if you had instances of going over the heat threshold. If you find instances of constant overheating on a device designed to handle that kind of streaming load, then it's time to call for warranty service.

I recently got a Samsung S26 Ultra and in the last week I can't stream anything without having a pause every few seconds. It may restart after the pause or completely stop the session. I have tried all the options suggested of clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, restarting the phone, looking for app updates, checking internet connection, etc. Anyone else having this issue or have a solution as this is super frustrating!?

Thank you!

Does the pausing happen when using both your home WiFi and mobile data?

Yes, it doesn't matter if I am on wifi or mobile data. It doesn't matter if it is YouTube, IHeart Radio, Pandora, Netflix, Peacock... I can start a session and shortly after the pauses or stops initiate.

I know it might seem simple, but have you attempted disabling Bluetooth on your phone?

Something else you could try is booting your phone in Safe Mode to disable 3rd party apps, and then testing by playing a video in Samsung Internet. If the video plays normally, then you know a 3rd party app is the culprit.

https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003495/

I have not noticed any overheating. Usually I will get a message or notification if this occurs. Nothing in the missed notification settings.

So I put the phone in safe mode, but none of the streaming apps are accessible. The only apps that are available are playstore, google, text, and phone. How would I know if a 3rd party app is the culprit if nothing is accessible?

Samsung Internet should be accessible. You can sign into a streaming service there, or try playing a YouTube video.

That’s why having a reliable platform matters. PhotoCall TV offers a smooth and user-friendly experience, with quick loading and easy access to live channels.
