I just got my new S26+; I upgraded from the S24+. I used Smart Switch and copied everything over. For the most part everything seems to be there. One thing I cannot get working on the new phone is AOD. I have a wireless charger on my work desk and my bedroom night stand. When I put the phone on it, I hear the notification that the phone is charging, but the screen is blank. My S24+ when I put it on the charger the notification goes off, I see the battery bar and the clock always on even when it's fully charged. I have gone thru all the settings and they match from the old phone to the new one. Show charging information is on under display. All the AOD settings are the same.

Hello bez825,

Welcome to our community and thank you for reaching out regarding your S26+. I can understand how frustrating it can be to have your new S26+ not functioning in the same manner as your S24. I believe I have found the reason for that.

With the Android 9.0 (Pie) and Android 10 (Q) updates, Always On Display has been upgraded. It will not always display on the screen anymore, however you can adjust the AOD settings.

Here is a link for additional information.

Are you talking about Android versions? Both run version 16. The s24 is running UI 8.0; the s26 is running 8.5. I have AOD display set to always. This is something else.

I see you guys are having problems with the new S26, so I'm just gonna stay with my S24 ultra I've gotten too many bad reviews on that S26, which is gonna make me change my mind on it 😞 wish it could have been better

🙏Just got my new S26 Ultra and I'm having a problem with wireless charging. The first problem is that it will not lay flat on the charge pad because the camera extension is in the way. The second problem is that while it does charge OK when it is fully charged the indicator light on charger does not change from red to green to indicate the charging is complete. I've tried this on two genuine Samsung charging pads and one third party and they all do the same thing. These pads all work properly with my previous S23 Ultra and my S20 5G.
