Outside:
Yesterday I tested the S26U in my car (that does have tinted windows) with Google Maps Navigation. Not only did I have to turn the display brightness to the highest level, but I also had to enable the "Extra brightness" option to boost it even more (something I never do on the S22U and S25 Edge). When the phone was sitting in the center console and I would glance at it for directions, again the off angle viewing issue was present. When I was parked and sitting inside the car or when outside, I did some comparisons between the S26U and S22U, and to me the S22U was easier to view in direct sunlight and looked even brighter than the S26U that look dimmer and washed out (maybe because it lost the polarized filter on top).
