Are you tying to connect via Bluetooth? Some model cars require that you connect via USB data cable.

So, I had an issue with my 2023 equinox, but it boiled down to my s24, in the living room, was always connecting 1st. I just wiped my s24 to send to Samsung and deleted from the car and no issues since 😬

I do have wireless set up in developer mode too.

If I was having this issue, I would clear the cache for the Android Auto app, then try it. If it still doesn't work, clear the data and uninstall updates, and then reinstall the app....have you tried that?

Same issue with a Mercedes C43 and a Galaxy S26 Ultra. Won't connect at all. Tried clearing data/cache, it's not a cable issue. This has worked fine for a Galaxy S24 Ultra for the past 2 years.

This is a complete deal breaker, and the phone is being returned if there is no solution that happens in the next week or so since there is only a 15 day return window.

I got my S26 Ultra working. Tuns out it was on my end, that I had to first initiate Android Auto through my car's infotainment for it to work. Once I did that, no issues and worked as expected. Guess I didn't remember doing that when I first connected my S24 Ultra. So for others out there having issues, make sure there isn't something you need to do on the infotainment side of things to initiate the connection. Obviously every car/manufacturer will vary. At least for my car, it's not just plug it into the port and initiate the connection from the phone, you have to do it from the infotainment first.
