Stupid question but has to be asked. Did you check for an update on the phone? Kinda doubt this would work, since Samsung hasn't provided the update to carriers yet.

Definitely talk to Samsung. I think they'll have to send you a replacement. Sounds like this one didn't go through QC at the factory.

I pre-ordered mine from my carrier T-Mobile USA and it came with UI 8.5 and even got one update shortly after I started using it
