I have the same problems here, when i tried the Samsung support i have got this information, and none of the possible workaround provided worked, actually some of the options he provided were not even in the menu.

I did go to the connective lab and unchecked the WIFI 7, since i do not use this at the moment, but it did not prevent the wifi to get slower at the end of the day.

Congratulations on the S26 Ultra. I've looked into this, and it appears to be a known handshake optimization we're working on for the new Wi-Fi 7 standard. While a permanent firmware patch is coming, I have a 2-minute setting adjustment that usually stabilizes the speed immediately. Shall we try it?

My S26 Ultra has much slower Wi-Fi speeds compared to my S25 Ultra. Unfortunately, I’m not the only one experiencing this issue, and it’s really frustrating to have the newest Ultra but get slower speeds than the previous generation. Here is a video I made showing the speed difference, and also a Reddit thread where other S26 Ultra users are reporting the same problem.

WIFI-7 Test S26 Ultra VS S25 Ultra

https://youtube.com/shorts/3VuMDLXHiMs?si=F10EMaiZuQ8kA0fi

Reddit Post

Is the S26 Ultra Wi-Fi fundamentally broken?

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is showing noticeably slower Wi-Fi speeds compared to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and since many users are reporting the same issue, it’s likely not just a single-device problem but a broader software or optimization issue. This could be due to early firmware bugs, new Wi-Fi hardware (like Wi-Fi 7) not being fully optimized, or compatibility problems with certain routers. While basic fixes like resetting network settings or updating software might help, the issue will most likely need an official update from Samsung to fully resolve.

@K3NPOS8 What about router settings and phone settings? It is possible the S26U did not default to a/the 6GHz SSID. In the connectivity labs right there, look at if there is a dedicated 6GHz connection shown haivng data metrics and that a Wi-Fi 7 shows the time usage. Here is a screenshot of mine, so may want to check out that graph in the connectivity labs.

Wi-Fi 7 routers often have 2.5GbE+ ports, both WAN/LAN, for multi-Gb cable connections and/or high-speed fiber. They typically combine 2.4/5GHz under one SSID (unlike Wi-Fi 5/6), with a separate 6GHz SSID. 6GHz requires WPA3-only; the 2.4/5GHz SSID defaults to WPA3 but can cause stutter on older devices. Just change it to WPA2/WPA3 mixed mode and save.

I have connectivity problems on WiFi 6 and 7 and on carrier network. Everything is fine for a period of time and then suddenly, the connection becomes real slow and times out. Only a restart of the phone or a flight mode toggle solves the problem until it happens again...

Did a factory reset, network reset and none of these helped in any way!

I've got the same problem. I have no issues using WiFi 7 with my S25U but my S26U couldn't even complete a speed test at speedtest.net, the connection would hang and the test was unable to complete.

I've created a new wireless network that uses 2.4GHz and WiFi 6 (802.11ax} and that seems to be stable.

Got a S26 ultra last Friday.
My first clue that it has a WiFi issue is when it took over 4 hrs waiting for the data being moved from my
S-24 Ultra to the S-26 Ultra.
It would transfer data for about five minutes and freeze up and drop the att store wifi. They would say, oh we have to start over.
Finally they decided only way to do it was choose a group and move it and then another. Contacts, photos, so on and so on.
This phone is unable to complete a speed test when my wife's S22 ultra consistently runs at 300+ MB..
Thanks for any suggestions, I've tried every trick I've seen but to no avail

My question is,
Do I keep it and hope a software update fixes it, is that even possible?.
Or take it back and get another S-24 or a S-25 while I'm still in the return time??

When it does complete a speed test it will be
Between .8-Up 2mb down.
The best has been 38mb. I have a 400mb service and every other cell phone gets 300+ down and 15 + up so definitely the S26-Ultra

I've noticed some issues too, especially with WiFi 7 and 6E. I don't understand why, because I have AT&T 5000 internet, so it's definitely not my speed. I hope this is fixed soon.

I'm also having issues with my s26 ultra. I updated on the 26/03/26 and still having randon drop outs when using wifi5. Going to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi seems to helps.
