Yea bestbuy is the best way to go. I'm hoping they have that option where you can dim and use warmer colors on the 26 series like the previous ones. Didn't know people still have issues with that.

Hi everyone—I have a quick question. I currently own the S25 Ultra and am on the verge of upgrading to the S26 Ultra, but I've seen comments suggesting that the S26's screen looks different—kind of strange—or has minor issues. That's making me hesitate a bit.

There have been posts about the privacy screen and what looks to be dimming of the screen not everyone has this issue theres also more blue light on the s26 ultra which the comfort view option should help if your able to get into a store a look at it might be good idea before you decide

The comments you've seen have to do with the new display, which uses hardware to implement a privacy feature. The way this has been achieved seems to negatively affect some, but not all, users. I personally have suffered no ill effects with the display. I think the best thing you can do is go look at one yourself to see if you're affected. Best Buy and carriers have floor units to try out.

I have the S25U and upgraded to the S26U.

My personal experience is that with privacy mode completely turned off, my screen looks just as good as the S25U, except it doesn't get as bright as the S25U can, but I never set my phone that bright anyway for fear of burn in so it makes no difference to me in normal use.

Outdoors, the S26U is NOT as bright as the S25U, but it is as bright as my S24U and previous models were.
All of this is a non-issue to me.

With privacy mode turned on, the screen does get darker and washed out due to the nature of how the privacy feature works. I don't use it, so I keep it off.
