Samsung changed the telephoto lens from a periscope to an All Lenses on Prism (ALoP) assembly. This doubled the minimum focus distance, so that could be why you're having trouble focusing up close. See the linked article for more details:

https://www.gsmarena.com/the_galaxy_s26_ultra_doesnt_have_a_periscope__heres_why_that_matters-news-71825.php

Anyone else having trouble with their S26 Ultra camera jumping between lenses when trying to focus up close? It's not even a smooth transition and can't focus on anything close.

If the problem persists, I'd say clear cache & data for camera and setup from scratch!
