12MP vs 24MP pictures

I see no difference in both 12MP and 24MP pics. Resolution is same for both 4000x3000 and even file size is almost same.

Am I missing some something here?

50MP pictures are slightly worse than 24MP. I don't know what is going on. I even saw a reviewer on YouTube complaining about the same during a photo comparison.

I've been using 24mp for about 2 weeks now and honestly can't see any difference other than processing time right after taking the picture. Photos don't seem that much sharper to me using 24mp!

Yes, exactly. At this point, I feel that it is just a placebo effect on those who claim 24MP is any better than 12MP.

I'm still wondering what is better 12mp vs 24mp.
File size is almost the same and the resolution is different.
12mp is 3000x4000 and 24mp is 4284x5712
