Is anyone else experiencing recent difficulties with Photomoji's loading and creation functionalities?

Below I have provided you with some troubleshooting steps. If the issue still persist, we would recommend contacting Google support. Let us know if this does the trick !

Force Stop & Clear cache : Head to Settings on your phone, then go to Apps > Messages. Tap Force Stop, then open Storage and hit Clear Cache.
Toggle RCS chat :Sometimes Photomojis won’t work if RCS gets disconnected. Try going to Messages Settings > RCS chats, switch RCS off for about 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
Check App Version: If you're using the Beta version, this error is a known issue that pops up pretty often. Leaving the beta program in the Google Play Store and switching to the stable version has fixed it for a lot of users. Just keep in mind it might take up to 24 hours for all your features to sync again.
Verify Conversation Type : Photomojis only work when RCS is turned on for both people in the conversation. They usually won’t show up in regular SMS/MMS chats or in group threads with anyone who isn’t using RCS.

And a year later. Switched from a S22U to S26U and I see the same error messages. Tried all the posted tricks. So many things to dislike about this phone and this is only one. So like returning it and hopefully they get the S27U right

Same issue. I went into play store to see if there were updates available even though I have it set to auto update, and there were 13 updates... Google messages was one of them.

Updated messages and photomoji is gone.

The photomoji option is there but it won't let me create new ones. I have the same error message as you unfortunately 😔

I didn't have this issue on my S24 ultra. I just upgraded to the S26

Same didn't have this issue on my s25 ultra and It was working 😒 fine on the s26 ultra at first with no issues that update back here broke something 😑 😭
