Did you try to delete the data for the home screen? It will remove the icons

I get that, but delete the data on One UI Home and see if that makes a difference

My nav bar is also stuck on the bottom all the time now. Also, now the word "weather" just appears under my weather widget & the word "search" just appears under my search my bar. This makes my home screen look ridiculous and with nav bar permanently on I cant comment on youtube and its constantly causing me issues with closing apps.

Did you figure out how to get the nav bar to go back to normal, where you tap to make it appear and disappear? I just woke up to my nav bar staying on and the words "weather" under my weather widget and "search" under my Google search bar. The nav bar being stuck on is driving me insane already.
