Lag on opening Facebook Notifications

S26 Ultra, when opening Facebook notifications, the first 10 open at lightning speed, then a 3 second lag on opening anything with a photo. I have fast WiFi, 750 Mbs fibre to the premise NBN. I have tried all the suggestions I can find on Google, YouTube and AI, but it always comes back. I spoke with Samsung chat, put it in Safe Mode to eliminate a dodgy app somewhere but you can't test Facebook in Safe Mode because all non Samsung apps are disabled. Anyone else having this issue?

That is going to more than likely be a facebook app issue and not an S26 one. Are there facebook app updates available, has the phone been optimized for all of the apps, etc? Look in the Device Care app and see is it has the option to optimize it in the very first panel. If it does, run it. Also, download and install Good Guardians app from the Galaxy Store, open it and install the Galaxy App Booster plugin, then run that (it may make the device feel warm). That will help solve some issues.

Thanks Tom, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Facebook app so I have the latest version. I’ve run the Optimise option in Device Care many times, I had to download the APK version of Good Guardians because it’s not available in Australia from the app store. I ran it but still get the lag after opening several notifications. I also get the lag opening One Note, and emails.

Oh, that's disappointing, I didn't realise it was US only. I thought they would be the same phone. OK I'll try the Australian one.
