Extend unlock

Mine hasn't worked since I got the phone. I've tried every work around and nothing works.

Trusted places, trusted devices or On Body detection?

If trusted places, to activate trusted places you have to click on the actual words of trusted places to turn it on.

If the extended unlock does not work in the settings, create a routine to keep your phone unlocked under various conditions - connected to particular wi-fi networks, particular Bluetooth devices, places, etc. Trusted places won't work if you have location services off and trusted devices won't work if you have Bluetooth off.

Like @Robin621k said, you have to click on each category for which you want the device to remain unlocked and actually add the trusted place, trusted device and/or turn on on body detection.

I've created routines I've installed good guardian I've deleted and readded my address ....everything suggested.both trusted places and on body detection are turned on. Restarted phone...nothing works!

May I see your routine? Block out any personally identifying information, of course. Also, can you be more specific about what's not working with it? Even with extend unlock, you will periodically have to unlock your phone with a fingerprint and will have to enter your password every 72 hours or after a reboot.

It is a mechanism to keep your phone unlocked under certain circumstances, such as when you are at home or work, connected to your watch or car or the phone is on your person. Your screen will still time out, but you won't have to enter your credentials to reopen it.

What are you referring to? The screen time out is max 10 minutes, but extend unlock will stay unlocked for up to 4 hours at a time before you have to unlock with a biometric - even if the screen times out, you will only have to swipe to open your home screen. it will lock after a missed call or notification and you will have to enter your password every 72 hours or after a restart.

It actually does. I have been using it for years and it works very well as long as you understand under what circumstances it will lock anyway. If you have trusted places or a trusted device, the minute you leave the trusted place or disconnect the trusted device, the phone will lock and not stay unlocked until the conditions for remaining unlocked are met. It also does not unlock automatically when you enter or return to a trusted place or connect a trusted device, you have to initially unlock it in order for it to remain unlocked. If you set a fingerprint, you won't have to enter a password every 4 hours, but you can unlock with the fingerprint. You will only then need to use the password every 72 hours or upon restarting the phone.

It will lock unless you actually set up extend unlock. The basic setting in lock screen for extend unlock includes trusted places and trusted devices, but you have to tell it what the trusted places and devices are - the phone does not know what you consider a trusted place. For instance, I have mine set to remain unlocked if connected to my watch or car or certain wi-fi networks. If your settings are lacking those options, then there is something wrong and you will need to reset your phone, or you can work around it by creating a routine that will do the same thing.

I have extended unlock setup and Trusted Places But it still locks after 10 minutes But it's ok I'm not going to keep fussing with the phone I'll just leave it like it is Thank You Have A Blessed Safe And Wonderful Day

If you set your trusted place by your address, you may have to expand the perimeter of your home. If you move to another room, it may consider that you have left your trusted place. It's much better to add a wi-fi network, especially at home. That way, as long as you are connected to the wi-fi network it won't lock unless you miss a call or notification (or 4 hours have gone by). This is for security in case someone wanders by and tries to read your notifications. I find that extend unlock works much better when created as a routine, rather than using the lock screen settings.

I'm sorry it's not working properly for you, I've found it to be very useful over the years. Never had an issue with it myself.
