I send feedback /feature requests often enough. Yes, there is no specific category for feature requests. The format is to select the "others" category, then preface your request with "this is feedback" or "this is a feature request". The feedback link is for both error reporting AND feedback/requests. Sorry I didn't realize you don't properly know how to use the feature. It's been explained in many posts

I've literally detailed everything in the error report and get these generic replies asking for my system logs. You don't need my system logs read the **bleep**g report!

You actually do need the system logs so that they can see what's activating and what's not. The system log is generated automatically whenever you initiate a report, so all you have to do is keep the box checked to send it. I don't know if you understand what a system log is, but it does not collect personal information, it only contains the commands used for a given action and what is going on at the same time as your reported error. This is why reports are best sent within 15 minutes of an error so the log is not overwritten. Only the logs count, not your description of the issue. The description only lets them know what to look for. Even if you think the system log is unnecessary because it's "only" asking for a toggle to keep a certain setting, they may actually programmed that setting and there may be a missing link that they can find that's causing it not to be kept. Always include your system log even if -you- feel it's not necessary.

My issue was easily explained in plain English, not specific to my device but all s26. Unless system logs include video, there is no way to see what the issue is from my logs as it is not a bug -- it is a QoL improvement. Therefore my point remains.

*You* think so, but the logs are necessary. You can't not submit the logs and then complain that the engineers are useless because they are asking for them. It does not matter if it's affecting you or hundreds of users, they still need to know where to fix the code or if it is, indeed, only you or something common to other users via their own reports.

If you don't think its a bug and are making a feature request, or QoL improvement, you need to label your report as feedback/feature request. In the meantime another user gave you a solution. Just submit the logs when you make your reports, they don't include any personal information. And, FYI the error reporting mechanism does have the ability to attach pictures and videos to the report in addition to the logs, just tap the paper clip at the top next to the send arrow.

I should have read what was in your screenshot. The Feedback section is not for use to ask them how to do things on your phone. That's what the community is for. Feedback is used for error reports and to ask for feature requests within reason.

Now you're just trolling. Smdh this is the last piece I'll say to this. When ANY user goes to submit feedback, it takes you to Error Report. Go, try it for yourself.

Don't speak about things that you know nothing about nor do you know my background. ✌️
