Hello, I am a valued customer with AT&T for 36 years, and I am a valued customer of Samsung. For thirty years...

Each year when you release new phones/devices, you always improve...

As a valued customer, I'm requesting the next software update for the S26 Ultra.

When it comes to group texting, it would be great if you could allow pictures and videos to be attached and still be sent separately within the group text, so that replies come only to the arthur of the group text, and not to the entire group. Please and thank you!!!

You are looking at mass texting, not group texting. Mass texting allows you to send the same message(s) to several people and get individual responses only to you. Group texts allow you to send the same message(s) to a group and everyone sees everyone else's responses. You can switch from one to the other on the settings, I don't know if switching applies to already formed groups or groups formed from that point forward.

In a future update to Google Messages you will be able to @ someone in a Group text to ensure only that individual or multiples get the photos and videos in a group chat.

Thank you so much for the feedback. But my issue is... mass texting doesn't allow me to send pictures and videos...

So if I'm reading this correctly, I need to download Google Messages, and then I will be able to send group or mass texts with pictures and videos, as I was able to do on my Galaxy S23+. I was able to toggle back and forth between group or separated.???

It is, but with the features on this phone, a mass text and sending individually to respond only to me does not allow me to add attachments. When I group text, I'm allowed to put attachments, but it's going to stay within the group. I can't send it out individually where they only respond to me.

I spoke with someone from Samsung, and they said if I download the Samsung messaging, it will eliminate the other messaging. It won't allow both...😤😡😠🤬🤬🤬

Google messages and Samsung messages can exist on your phone at the same time. However, only one app can be the default and used at a time. To switch between them you have to set the one you want to use as the default at the time you want to use it and then switch back. I'm not sure if they changed it on the S26, as I have been seeing on here that they didn't include Samsung messages at all on the S26 and people have been sideloading it.

As for adding attachments to send to individuals in a group chat rather than the whole group, IMO that defeats the purpose of group chat. If you want to send specific images or attachments to an individual who is included in your group, you will just have to make an individual chat with that particular contact to send that content.
