Since I upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra to a
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, I am now encountering a
bug.

I want to always open PDF files with a designated
app (such as Adobe Acrobat), but I am unable to
do so. No matter what I try, the Samsung software
does not allow me to make a permanent association
for a PDF file.

I contacted Samsung Support and they confirmed
that the behavior I'm experiencing is "a known
issue specifically related to the integrated PDF
reader within the Samsung MyFiles app. There's
no update yet regarding this."

There is no way I can disable the integrated PDF
reader within the Samsung MyFiles app.

Samsung Support "highly suggested reporting this
on Samsung Community", so that's what I am doing.

How did you format this post? All your text scrolls off the screen and is unreadable.

Could you please use the default text so that people can help you?

EDIT: Making a community post is not the way to report an issue, but customer support never tells anyone that. To submit an error report, use the "send feedback" option on the Support tab of the Members app.

What file manager do you use? I'm assuming that since the bug regarding file associations is within My Files, then I can uninstall that app and install a different file manager, as a workaround.

I noticed this the other day, don't deal with PDFs daily so I didn't bother attempting a fix but I'd try to disable the myfiles - I use the native app but Google works also.
